Frequently asked questions
A few of the questions I hear most from South Shore buyers, sellers, and investors. Don't see yours? Just ask.
Which areas of Kauai do you serve?
I specialize in Kauai's South Shore — Poipu, Koloa, and Kalaheo — and the surrounding South Shore communities. It's the sunny side of the island and the area I know best.
I'm buying from the mainland and can't visit often. Can you still help?
Absolutely — many of my clients buy from California, the Pacific Northwest, and elsewhere on the mainland. I handle video tours, digital paperwork, and coordinate inspections and escrow so you can buy with confidence from thousands of miles away.
Do you specialize in vacation-rental and investment properties?
Yes. Short-term vacation-rental and investment property is a core focus, and I operate my own Poipu rental — so I can talk through realistic income, costs, and what to look for. Kauai's short-term-rental rules change over time and vary by property, so for the current specifics on a particular condo or complex, reach out and I'll get you the up-to-date details.
Do you speak German?
Yes — I'm bilingual in English and German, and I'm glad to work with German-speaking buyers and sellers.
What's your background?
Before real estate, I spent 19 years at Google. I bring that same data-driven rigor to every transaction — real comparable-sales analysis, honest rental-income modeling, and clear, no-pressure advice.
Which brokerage are you with?
I'm a REALTOR® with RE/MAX Kauai Living (brokered by RE/MAX Honolulu), Hawaii license #RS-87148.
Do you work with sellers as well as buyers?
Yes — buyers, sellers, and investors. If you're thinking of selling on the South Shore, I'll prepare a data-driven valuation (CMA) so you know what your property is really worth.
How do I get started?
Call or text me at 808-855-8391, or email [email protected]. The first conversation is always no-pressure — just a chat about what you're looking for.
Ready to make a move on Kauai?
Whether you're buying your first home, selling an investment property, or just want to talk about the South Shore market — I'd love to hear from you.
